I have to work tomorrow all day but I am off on Tuesday and Wednesday. I would really like to go to Ikea and pick up some new stuff for our place to put together on my days off. When we moved we got rid of a larger entertainment center and lost a lot of shelf/display places. We also got rid of a large white dresser that used to in our dinning area that was used as display space for pictures. We now need to either mount some shelves in the den and living room, or buy a bookcase. I would also like to put up some shelves in the kitchen for cookbooks and our serving pieces.
I have an idea for the den which would be wall mounted brackets and adjustable shelves, which would give us a desk surface all the way accross the den wall. I think that may be really nice to add a work/craft area, and a computer area. The only problem is that we only have enough space to fit one computer chair because of the large arm chairs in the den. I don't know what to do but I am hoping to go to the store and have inspiration strike. That is not usually a problem, having too many ideas is usually the problem.
I don't like to rent because you never know how much space we will have when we buy a house and it seems like a waste to decorate an apartment but it has to feel live able.
This past Tuesday we had my mother in law and her husband over for dinner for the first time ever. Fortunately they really liked everything. They have never been to any of our other apartments. I made steaks on the BBQ, creamed corn, mashed potatoes, gravy, and dinner rolls. I had a really good time. I did have to do a lot of cleaning up but I even fit in time to get a fill (my nails looked lke crap). Now we have to have JJ's dad and his girlfriend over at some point. My parents have been here many times, but JJ's dad has yet to see our newer place and I like to entertain. I would also like to have his sisters and their husbands over. That sounds like fun.
